We’re giving you two hours to get out of town, and by “we” I mean us Sierra Club folks, specifically, that Eagle View Group. We’re gonna teach you how to explore and enjoy nature along the Hennipen Canal whether you like it or not. And to make it extra enjoyable you will be doing this on a bike, and I don’t mean a noisy motorcycle. I’m talking about real two wheeled bicycles. You know, the kind of bikes healthy and hardy folks use for fun and transportation.
Now listen up, here’s the deal. We meet at high noon at the park in Colona along the canal, Saturday July 18. Bring your own grub for lunch before we leave and then be ready to ride for two hours. You’ll need water too and if you know what’s good for you, you’ll be there on time or you might wake up wearing cement toe clips.
Humor aside, this will be a bicycle outing, however those who do not find joy in bicycling are welcome to attend our picnic lunch and if they so desire, they are encouraged to take a walk along the canal. These people will not be on the official outing and will not need to sign our liability waiver.
